The Transition model utilizes the same patented titanium boom suspension system as the AL-Ti. Stainless steel wedges are tightened to keep the boom in place. However, the Transition's frame structure is simplier (read, less expensive) to fabricate than the AL-Ti's stamped and heat-treated monocoque body. The Transition model uses aero-shaped 7005 series aluminum tubes to create a strong, light and slippery pursuit platform.
